State Farm Kindness Award:
HMS is proud to announce the winners of the State Farm Kindness Award, sponsored by State Farm Insurance- Ryan Meininger.
Nominated by middle school instructors, one student from each grade level is selected. These students have demonstrated exceptional characteristics of respect, responsibility, manners, and thoughtfulness.

The first day of track practice for 7th and 8th graders is tomorrow, March 22nd immediately after school. Student athletes must have a KSHSAA physical turned into the office to participate. The coach / parent meeting will start at 5:45 tomorrow after practice in the middle school gym.

The Office of the State Bank Commissioner (OSBC), the Kansas Insurance Department (KID), and its division, the Office of the Kansas Securities Commissioner (KSC) are sponsoring the annual Kansas Financial Scholars essay contest to award up to five scholarships to Kansas high school seniors who, through school courses, independent study, and personal experience, have gained an understanding of money management and can demonstrate that knowledge and the importance it will have in their future.

Hiawatha USD 415 Parent Teacher Conferences March 10 4:00 PM-8:00 PM and March 11 4:00 PM-7:30PM.

Hiawatha USD 415 Board of Education recognized HHS Booster Club for their outstanding support of Hiawatha High School Athletics. So far in the 2020-21 School year, the Booster Club has committed $25,807 toward high school athletics. Thank you Booster Club for your support!!

Congratulations to the Red Hawk Forensics Team who took 5th Saturday at the ACCHS Talking Tigers Forensics tournament!
Congratulations to Ethan Pruitt and Eli Hoschouer who took 2nd place in IDA qualifying them for State Champs. They also placed 5th in duet!
Jocelyn Dvorak showed she can think fast on her feet placing 2nd in Impromptu speaking qualifying her for State Champs. Well done!
Congratulations to Raven Stroud who placed 6th in Prose qualifying her for state festival and placing 7th in Original Oratory.
