Please join us in congratulating our next recipient of our Red Hawk Hero Award at HES! The Red Hawk Hero goes to someone in our building who exemplifies the characteristics of a hero. Our next recipient is Barb Stueve, 2nd grade paraprofessional. Barb has made a seamless transition from the office staff to being a para and you can tell how much she loves what she is doing! From working with the kids to crosswalk duty, she is willing to take on any job that is asked of her and she does it with a positive attitude. She has even volunteered to help me with different parts of my job and she is not even my para. Along with her para role and previous office role, she has also provided us with some delicious meals throughout the years during parent/teacher conferences and other events. Barb is what I would consider a jack of all trades and HES is lucky to have her!

Work Based Learning Spotlight: Malachi Hoschouer, Cruise Planners For my work based learning, I go to Cruise Planners and I help plan activities and trips. I decided this workplace experience because it helps improve decision making skills and better teaches me to make plans. I help with taking care of the building, and help plan and prepare for any activities Cruise Planners are working on. I am mainly supervised by Linda Hoskins, and Jen Hoschouer who often give me simple tasks to help out. I enjoy going to Cruise Planners because we get to talk about travel, and I get to learn about budgeting and all the things you can do if you just have a plan.

We have an immediate opening for a morning route driver (2 hours/day-6:00am to 8:00am) with options for more hours with subbing and activity trip driving. We pay $20/hour and we will do all necessary training. A class A or B CDL with school bus and passenger endorsements is required and we will do everything we can to help you get licensed and pay costs associated with upgrading your license and you will get paid training.
