Hiawatha Lady Red Hawks defeat Marysville in the first round of sub state 51-46. Hiawatha advances & will play Friday night at Silver Lake. They will take on the winner of Seneca & Sabetha.

Tonight's Sub-State games vs Marysville will start @ 6pm with the girls followed by the boys @7:30pm. Just a reminder that this is a KSHSAA event. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students. NO passes will be accepted upon entry.

Hiawatha High School is proud to recognize both Mrs. Ann Severin and Ms. Hannah Hoffman as the Red Hawk Teachers of the Game. Both Mrs. Severin and Ms. Hoffman teach math.
Mrs. Severin was nominated by a student who said, “I nominate Mrs. Severin. She is very hard-working, honest & accepting. She gets along well with the students and lends a hand where it’s needed at any time.”
Ms. Hoffman was nominated by a student who said, “I think Ms. Hoffman deserves to be the Red Hawk Teacher of the Game. She is always ready & willing to help her students, whether it be with math or with questions about their future plans.”
