On behalf of the USD 415 Board of Education, I welcome you to another exciting school year. Much of my first year as your superintendent was spent learning and assessing strengths and opportunities. I was reminded daily of the excellence that lies within our teachers, leaders, staff and students. You should, indeed, be proud of your schools.
Among our goals this year, will be to tap further into that capacity and address identified opportunities to significantly improve the learning of all students. Among those opportunities this year are:
- The creation of a new pre-school program for at-risk 4-year olds to address kindergarten readiness
- Increased emphasis on career planning via the development and maintenance of individual plans of study for each student
- Increased vocational course offerings for high school students
- More emphasis on the success of each student by placing supports and developing interventions based on the needs of the individual student
These are just a few of the initiatives and plans that bring promise to what will surely be an outstanding year. Mostly, however, that promise resides in the quality of our staff, students, and community. We invite you to join us in this adventure. We will be seeking your input and we welcome your thoughts and passion. Thank you for trusting us with an amazing opportunity and
Lonnie D. Moser, Superintendent
