Dear high school parents/guardians,

It’s hard to believe we are nearing the end of week 3 of our Continuous Learning program.

A few things I wanted to share with you:

1. You should be getting an invite to receive guardian summaries from your child’s google classroom. These will allow you to get regular reports emailed to you detailing your child’s progress as well as missing items, etc.  It is my hope this will allow you some increased oversight into your child’s learning.  I also hope it generates some conversations between your child and yourself regarding their learning.  Please accept those invitations.

2. If your child has classes on Edgenuity, you should be receiving an email with information on how to regularly receive Edgenuity progress reports.  Again, this will allow you to get regular reports emailed to you detailing your child’s progress.  It is my hope this will allow you some increased oversight into your child’s learning.  I also hope it generates some conversations between your child and yourself regarding their learning.  Please accept those invitations.

3. If you have not supplied the school with a parent/guardian email, please call the school so we can get you these additional forms of communication regarding your child’s learning.

4. There have been several questions around the topic of grades: it is important for a student to make progress each week in their classes.  Failure to do so will negatively impact their grade.  No classes were “waived” by the state.

5. If your child continues to experience technology issues, please call the high school.

6. Again, we recommend establishing a routine of some sort that works for your family.  All HHS assignments are posted by Monday evening, thus allowing you and your child to develop a “game plan” for the week.

Sincerely,
