Teacher Bio

Sarah Kleopfer is the vocal music instructor at Hiawatha High School and Hiawatha Middle School. The 2010-11 school year begins her 24th year in the district. Sarah teaches Concert Choir, Headliners, and Vocal Methods at HHS.  At HMS, she teaches vocal music classes for 5th and 6th grades and 7th and 8th grade choir. She is also the Hawkette Dance Team sponsor and co-director of the drama productions at HHS.

Sarah is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University, holding a B.S. in Music Education. She also holds an  M.S. in Education from Baker University. Sarah is married to Doug and has two children, Hannah and Emma. She enjoys keeping up with all of her daughters activities, reading, and watching movies.

She is a member of KNEA, KMEA, and KCDA. She is also an active member of the Hiawatha Music Club and St. Paul Lutheran Church.
