American Indian Day was celebrated on Friday, September 26, in our classroom! The students who belong to the Heritage Circle met with their teacher and made their plans, including a skit,
face painting and watching video podcasts by the rock band, Clandestine, and the jazz band, The Redman Family. There were even power points showing Mae Elizabeth Joslin dancing at the Prairie Band Potawatomie Pow Wow! Everyone enjoyed the day and had lots of fun learning about the native culture and history.Note: Most newer browsers don't need a print-friendly version of this article.
