HES fourth grade students spent the month of November studying the United States government; its symbols, monuments and landmarks. After completing their research, they worked in cooperative teams to construct a project depicting one of the government symbols or monuments, in accordance with Kansas social studies standards.
Each student wrote an expository essay and then transferred that information into a short speech. On November 29, they invited the HES third grade and their parents to visit their projects and presentations in the library.Note: Most newer browsers don't need a print-friendly version of this article.
