Story image 1 HES 4th graders test their coordination skills. The students are trying to jump rope and bounce a ball at the same time. This is Mr. Nichols Physical Education class.

Can you do this?

We do several activities throughout the school year to check on the coordination levels of students. We start out jumping roping individually. This progresses to jump roping in small groups and leads to trying to jump and bounce a ball at the same time. This type of activity is limited to the third and fourth grade classes. The K-2 classes will continue to learn how to jump rope individually throughout the year.
