Here are some simple instructions for setting up an account to access your English textbook online from ANY computer.
1) Go to http://www.classzone.com
2) You should see a screen with the United States in the middle. On this screen select "Language Arts -- High School" -- "Kansas" -- Go!
3) On the next screen, select either the first book on the top row, which is the 9th grade book, OR select the third book on the top row, which is the 11th grade book.
4) This will take you to a screen with numerous resources for you to use. In the bottom left corner, you will see an icon for the online book. Click this.
5) You are a new user, so click on "Create Student Account" on the right.
6) Enter the activation code for your book:
Literature (9th grade) - 2339868-300
Literature (11th grade) - 2339868-920
7) Once you hit "Continue" your computer will bring you back to the screen that says "Create Student Account." Click on "Create Student Account" again and it will take you through the final steps for setting up your account. You may choose your own username and password, but DO NOT FORGET THEM!!! Keep them somewhere where you will always have access to them, such as in a wallet or in your student planner.
8) When you have successfully completed this, you should be able to access the online text from the resource page by clicking on the "Online Text" icon located in the bottom left hand corner of the page. Doing to will give you full access to the entire textbook online as well as to audio versions of most of the reading selections included in the book.
