Teacher Bio
My name is Heather Maze. I teach 3rd and 4th Grade Special Education at Hiawatha Elementary School. I am a 1998 graduate of Holton High School. I went on to earn my Associate of Arts Degree from Highland Community College in 2000. Later received my Elementary Education Degree from Kansas State University in 2002. Before coming to the Hiawatha school district, I taught 1st and 2nd Grade at Kickapoo Nation School for two years. Upon my tenure at Kickapoo Nation School I decided to begin working towards my Masters Degree in Special Education through Emporia State University. I completed my Masters Degree in May 2012.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my two daughters and my husband, Nathan. I also enjoy being outdoors, all things music, and gardening.
I am excited and ready for a great year!
