UNDERCLASSMEN Final Exam Schedule:
Wednesday, May 19st 2A, 3A & 4A (all students should attend their 1A class that day)
Thursday, May 20th 1B– 4B
Friday, May 21st 1A Followed by –
- Student Checkout
- Lunch
- Then dismissal at 1:00 pm.
Exemption Policy
The Final’s Exemption Policy will be as follows: if a student has 3 or fewer absences (excused), a C or better grade in that class and has not had any significant discipline issues (as determined by the administration) then they will be exempt from having to take the final exam. If they are exempt from all finals then they will not need to attend school on that day. A student who is exempt from testing may choose to take the final test in an effort to further raise their grade. We hope that this will result in higher attendance rates and better grades. Students who believe they have missed more than three days of school (excused) for reasons that are extraordinary and should be taken into consideration may request an exemption hearing by signing up in the front office at the appropriate time (it will be in the announcements) and present their case to the hearing board – composed of peers (students) and teachers. The principal will inform those that have petitioned for hearings of the decision. The principal reserves the right to make the final determination regarding final exams.
