I Love My Job
I was born and raised in Lenexa, Kansas. In 1957 my family moved to Falls City, Nebraska where I attended and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1961. In 1964 I married Joe Griebat and we lived in Morrill, Kansas until 1968 when we moved to Hiawatha, Kansas. I graduated from Highland Community College, Missouri Western State University and Emporia State University. I have a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in reading instruction. I began teaching Title I Reading at Hiawatha Elementary School in 1983. I am the mother of five children, two girls, Pam and Becky, and three boys, Joey, John and Jeb. I have twelve grandchildren. It has been a privilege to teach children to read. I truly love my job!
