6th Graders Explore Animal Organs
by Trisha Gibson
May 09, 2008
The 6th grade students have recently finished a unit on the body systems. As a culminating activity, Mrs. Gibson arranged to have several organs on display for her students to explore with their hands. These organs included several pig, sheep and cow hearts, one sheep kidney, and two lungs with attached trachea and larynx. The students squealed with excitement as they went from organ to organ examining the ones that they have been studying.
The class would like to thank the Fortmeyer family for donating the sheep organs.
