"See To Learn"

Dear Parents,

Your child's first few years of school are important building blocks towards their future years in education.  What they learn and take with them from kindergarten helps shape their entire education!

Road blocks to education directly impacts what a child can learn.  If a child is having vision difficulties, this limits the amount of information he or she will retain.

The Eye Care Council has important information regarding your child's vision.  This website is a great resource to help you determine your child's visual needs:  http://www.seetolearn.com

Hiawatha also has two opticians available to serve your vision needs and concerns:

Dr. Eric McPeak (www.visionsource-mcpeakoptometry.com)                 742-3021

Dr. John Metzger---742-3631

Your child's hearing and vision will also be screened in the school setting during the first few months of school.  This is a basic screen and is not used as a diagnostic tool.

We are looking forward to seeing your new kindergarten students!
