On January 25th - January 27th, students from the Red Hawk Band traveled to Manhattan, KS to participate in the 15th Annual Kansas State University Concert Band Clinic. To participate, students must be recommended by their band director. Upon arrival at KSU, the students had to audition for one of the six bands. After the audition, the students were placed in one of the bands. The students were able to work with college band directors, and graduate and undergraduate students. After a full days rehearsal, the students then performed a concert for their friends and family at McCain Auditorium located on the KSU Campus. Over 600 students from throughout Kansas and Nebraska participated in this year's clinic. The students that participated from Hiawatha were Hailey Grimm, Erin Gernon, Berenice Weisel, Chelsea Thompson, Kelli Hobbs and Jazmin Rico.
