Melissa Trujillo

Ms. Trujillo has been in USD 415 for 24 years! This is the second year for her to be a full time teacher at Hiawatha High School! When she first came to Hiawatha she taught Mathematics and Computer Classes, in both the middle school and the high school. Throughout her career in Hiawatha she has coached basketball and volleyball and sponsored the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) for several years.
She teaches Computer Applications, Desktop Publishing, Multimedia Technology I and II, Visual Basic Programming and two new classes-Graphic Applications and Webpage Design at HHS. She graduated from Mid Plains Community College in North Platte, Nebraska in 1982 and received her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mathematics and Computer Studies from Peru State, also in Nebraska in 1985. Recently she completed her Master's Degree online, also from Peru State College. She is a certified Microsoft Office Specialist in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Some of the important things in her world are: God, family, friends, learning new things, music, playing the guitar, writing, reading, watching movies, listening, singing, solving problems and being an Aunt! She loves all of her nieces and nephews and considers it a blessing anytime she gets to see them: Rissa, Kayla, Kerstyn, Ethan, Annabella, Tristan, Sophia, Wahp, Mae, Ella and two new ones-babies Lucia and Eli!
