Dear Hiawatha Elementary School Families,

Parent-Teacher Conference time is quickly approaching and because of the unique situation we find ourselves in, we are modifying the format.  Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for October 14 and 15.

Your child’s teacher will be contacting you soon with a link to a sign-up page using a website called https://calendly.com/. You will need to sign up for each of your children’s conferences on their teacher’s page.  The sign up looks like the picture below and on the left.  You will click on the date (14th or 15th) and time you prefer; thencomplete the information it requests as shown in the picture on the right.

If you do not have internet, a phone call can be scheduled instead.  Meetings will be scheduled in 15-minute increments. The conferences will be scheduled for October 14 between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. and October 15 between 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Teachers will be discussing the positives and areas of growth for your child, addressing changes from this year, and giving you an opportunity to ask questions and give feedback from your experiences.  Our schedule is fairly tight due to the fact that we will be meeting virtually, so we request that you are prepared on time.  If you need additional time to meet with your child’s teacher, you may be asked to schedule a separate conversation out of respect for other parents’ meetings.

We value your time, and collaboration and are looking forward to meeting with you next week.  Please contact the Elementary School office or your child’s teacher with any questions.

 Sincerely,

Paul Carver
Hiawatha Elementary School Principal
