Hello!  My name is Kim Krauter and this is my seventh year at Hiawatha Middle School!.  I grew up in Abilene, Kansas where I attended school K-12.  I then continued my education at Barton County Community College for two years and then graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education in 2004.  I started my teaching career in Jewell, Kansas teaching a combination 3rd and 4th grade classroom.  I taught there for 4 years and then moved to Abilene where I taught 4th grade for two years.

My husband's name is Brent Krauter. He will be teaching High School Social Studies as well as coaching middle school football l at Hiawatha Middle School.  We have two beautiful little girls named Alizabeth and Madelyn. Ali will be 7 at the end of August and Mady just turned four in June.  We definitely stay very busy with family time. We love being outside and playing with our girls.  On most Saturdays in the fall you will find us either on the couch or at Memorial Stadium in our scarlet red cheering on our Huskers!! GO BIG RED!!

I am very excited about getting the year started and working with a group of amazing teachers and students.  You will definitely see me at many of the sporting events cheering on the Red Hawks!
