Hiawatha High School Student Council

Hiawatha High School Student Council exists in order to promote a better student government, to promote good citizenship, improve school morale, provide a forum for student expression, and act as a governing body over all students and student activities.

The executive board is made up of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Reporter.  The Student Council is also made up of the class representatives, club representatives, and class presidents.

The Student Council currently helps coordinate and organize the following activities:

  • Student enrollment and guided tours
  • Welcome back activities
  • Gatorade scrimmage meal
  • Mixer dance
  • Homecoming food drive
  • "Red Hawks Give Back" Community Service Day
  • Blood drives
  • Freakers Ball Dance
  • Brown County Christmas Bureau
  • Charity giving and disaster relief
  • Iflurtz surveys
  • Box Seats raffles
  • Spread the Word to End the Word Campaign
  • Earth Day Electronics Recycling
  • Awarding student scholarships
  • School-wide elections

If you have a school issue or idea you wish to see addressed, make sure you bring it to a student council member.
