Mrs. Vaughn, Family and Consumer Sciences

Teacher Bio. I originally grew up in rural Hiawatha and graduated from USD #415. After graduation, I attended Pittsburg State University. I have been a teacher since 1972. I started my teaching career in Dodge City at the Area Vocational-Technical School. After 2 years, my husband (Steve) and I returned to Hiawatha. The remainder of my teaching career, for the most part, has been in this school system. Steve and I have been married for 39 years and have twin son's (age 32). We also have the pleasure of being the grandparents of 1 little boy (age 5) and 2 little girls (ages 3 and 1). We are active members of the First Baptist Church. I currently sponsor FCCLA. I am looking forward to another active year in the classroom with students who have chosen to give me the privilege of sharing what I know about Family and Consumer Sciences.
