My name is Chris Diller. I am an IRC teacher in the High School at Hiawatha. I earned my special education degree from Emporia State University in 1999. I earned my Masters degree in Adaptive Special Education in 2011. I have a degree in elementary education as well. I have been teaching in special education for 17 years. This is my 9th year in the Brown County Interlocal. Before teaching at Hiawatha, I was in the Rose Hill school district for 6 years, and the Andover High school district 2 years. I love teaching in the special education programs, and look forward to a long career. Along with my duties as a teacher, I am also the Head Varsity Football Coach, the Student Council Sponsor, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Sponsor, and the Junior Class Sponsor (go Prom). I spend most of my free time reading, coaching or playing with my kids. I have been married for 15 years to wife Heidi, who is a Hiawatha native. She teaches music at the elementary school in Hiawatha. We have 4 children, 3 girls and 1 boy: Brenna 12, Sutton 10, Tagen 7, and Jessa 2. We have enjoyed moving back to and living in Hiawatha. Family is very important to us, and there are many relatives in and around this area.
