Red Hawk journalists recently participated in the Kansas Scholastic Press Association (KSPA) Regional competition and results are in! Senior Martina Bourland received honorable mention in both Feature Writing and Cutline Writing while junior Isabella Eppens received honorable mention in Copyediting.

The contest, which was scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 22, was to take place in Manhattan at the K-State Union, but on-site contests were canceled due to inclement weather. Contests were made up using a proctor locally.

Both Bourland and Eppens qualify to compete on May 5 at the KSPA State contests in Lawrence at the University of Kansas' Student Union.
