Get the beat in Physical Education

The first semester is in the books, vacation is over and it is time to get back into the swing of things. January in the HES gym will be jammed full of activity. We will start off with the Pacer Run. The purpose is to convey the idea of pacing ourselves over a period of time. We will have a pre and post test over the span of two months.
Our other main focus during January will be juggling and rhythms. We will begin with juggling scarves. The students will be juggling individually, with partners and in small groups. Practicing at home is possible if you have plastic bags.
The focus will then shift to Rhythms as we do some simple movements to music. We will also add some rhythms sticks to our routines.
