New “Explore Health Careers” internet information

The U.S Department of Labor predicts that health care will generate 3 million new wage and salary jobs between 2006 and 2016. Seven out of the 20 fastest growing occupations are health care-related.
A web site called ‘www.ExploreHealthCareers.org’ is available to help students read about and perhaps find a health career that fits their interests, education and salary goals, to locate pre-health internships and summer programs, and to search for scholarships, grants and loans.
The website is free and indicates students can download fact sheets, student handouts, and that it has a ready-to-use Powerpoint presentation regarding exploring health care-related careers. A flyer is posted outside the Counseling Office if you are interested in more information.
