National Science & Mathematics Access To Retain Talent Grant (SMART GRANT)
FOR 3rd and 4th YEAR COLLEGE STUDENTS!

An eligible student may receive up to $4,000 per year for their third and fourth academic years of undergraduate study.
SMART Grant Requirements:
* Receive a Federal Pell Grant during the same award year;
* Be a full-time student in their 3rd or 4th academic year of an undergraduate degree program
* 5th year added for 5-year programs
* Be pursuing a major in physical, life, or computer sciences, mathematics, technology, engineering, or a critical foreign language. To review the list go to: http://ifap.ed.gov/dpcletters/attachments/GEN0809.pdf.
* Have at least a 3. Grade point average as of the end of the second award year and continue to maintain a 3.0 GPA, which must be checked prior to the beginning of each payment period (e.g. semester).
