Rainbow Communications PRIMO Scholarship (Public Relations Independent Marketing Organization)

Award Amount: Three $500 scholarships
PRIMO is an organization founded in 1992,consisting of the marketing and public relations employees of independent telecommunications companies across Kansas. Although these applications must be submitted to their Hiawatha location, Rainbow does not get to select the three winners. Instead, Rainbow selects the top three applications and then sends them for consideration to the PRIMO Scholarship Committee. The Committee reviews the top three applications for all member companies, and then selects the winners. They, in turn, notify Rainbow Communications who alerts and winners in our area.
The scholarship is not reserved strictly for freshman, but may be awarded to any undergraduate whose parent or guardian currently has Rainbow Communications as a service provider.
Preference is given to students choosing Marketing, Public Relations, or a telecommunications-related field), and who is/will be a full time student at an accredited university, college, or technical school. The award distribution will be made upon submittal of the student’s college class registration and schedule. A current photograph and an essay are required.
Completed applications are to be submitted to the Rainbow Communications address provided on the application. If applicants wish to drop off their completed application, they may do so at 628 Oregon Street in Hiawatha.
