Mandy Kern

Mandy Kern is the high school Agriscience teacher. Her courses include: Agriscience, Animal Science, Horticulture, Agribusiness Management, Environmental Science and Wildlife, Agriculture Mechanics, Advanced Agriculture Mechanics and 8th grade Ag Explorations. She is also the advisor of a very active FFA chapter, which received 5th place in the prestigious Triple Crown Award.
Kern graduated from Kansas State University in May of 2005 with a degree in Agriculture Education and received a masters in curriculum and instruction in 2008 from Peru State College. Her husband Joseph is the physics and chemistry teacher in Hiawatha and they have two young boys, Jonas and Russell.
In 2009, Kern was named Kansas New Career and Technical Educator of the year and was recognized by the National Association of Agriculture Educators with the "Teacher Turn the Key" award.
